The story
Mihaela came from Ireland — she's Romanian by birth, English-speaking, but the interview was recorded in Romanian, the language she feels most at home in. That choice, on its own, says something about how the journey was structured for her.
She emphasises that 'every step was planned in advance.' From the moment she landed at Istanbul airport, somebody was there. From the first WhatsApp message weeks earlier, the same coordinator stayed with her through the consultation, the surgery, and the day after.
Her final line — the one we kept — was 'Echipa numărul 1.' The number-one team. Not a marketing line. A patient line.
